DF Doc O Lena Dream is a 10yr old, 15hh, ApHC, chestnut gelding. Huey is one of the most striking Appaloosas you could possibly ever own. Not only does he have the classic blanket, but his confirmation is second to none. Even if you’re not an app person, you can appreciate what this gelding brings to the table as you won’t find a more versatile, well bred, and friendly one to add to your barn. Huey’s top side has many WC and RWC earners and producers in a number of disciplines, but his bottom side is what you should take note of as it has some of the most influential cow horse breeding ever going back to the legendary Doc O’Lena. This gelding got the best of both worlds with his pedigree. He is a fancy enough ride to make jaws drop in the show pen, and has the cow sense to be an instrumental partner when it comes to ranch work or to take to the sorting pen. Huey is calm, gentle, and has an easy to get along with handle as he is soft mouthed and rides one handed. He’s been many miles outside in open pasture and down the trails. In the arena, he will happily ride collected or on a loose rein depending on what you prefer and does all maneuvers slow and correctly. On the ground, Huey has a personality as big as Texas and enjoys his time getting pampered. This is a gelding that would fit a family looking to add a dependable new member to pack everyone around, someone looking for their next using horse, or someone wanting to step into the show pen in versatility ranch horse classes, sorting competitions, or cow horse events. Huey has great ground manners. He will stand for everything from baths to saddling, and loads/unloads easily. He is 100% sound with no scars or blemishes and needs no special care.
