If a ranch horse is what you’re in the market for, Tonka is your man. He has spent most of his days doing all aspects of work the ranch has to offer. He’s roped all ages of cattle from calves to full grown cows. He’s drug more calves at the branding than can be counted and goes all day long with absolutely no quit. He has been used to start many colts and keeps a calm head the entire time. Tonka is used to harsh rocky terrain and will cross anything you put in his path. Opening and closing gates comes with complete ease, his side pass is beautiful and he makes the job easy. Tie him up, leave for the day, and he will be right where you left him when you get back. He would be a great choice if you’re looking for one that you can grab out of the pasture and go do a day’s work on but can safely tote the younger ones around on also. Tonka is gentle, willing and versatile and does whatever you ask of him. He has smooth collected gaits and nice transitions. He lopes circles all while on a loose rein and is very soft in the sides. He is true one hand broke and stays that way with time off. Riding in the arena is no problem either, he will give you his all in either setting. He has a great mind, is quick to learn, and aims to please. Whatmore could you ask for?
