PIF to FF!

Drifter is a well bred 6 year old beautiful grey gelding. He stands about 15 hands and has the smoothest gaits! He was broke at 5 1/2 due to no fault of his own. I picked him up with maybe 60 rides on him. I’ve had him since January as a project and he’s come along really well! No buck, rear, or pulling back. He can sit for days and doesn’t get cold backed, just heavy on the front end. He knows all the basics, walk, trot, lope, stop, spin, side arch. Just needs to be taken to the next step. You can trail ride him, cross over logs, water and up and down hills. Very eager to please! He is green still, but he’s very gentle! Just not for a beginner. I would say he needs a confident rider who has the patience and training abilities to continue this horse to have an awesome barrel racing future! Drifter does have a few quirks on the ground. Just a little unsure and gets shy with fast movements. Sometimes when he’s out to pasture, he is a little hard to catch. But other than those, he’s a real sweet guy. My boyfriend has taken him to a sorting just to stand around and watch. Drifter had no issues that day. I’m sure over time he might make a decent rope horse! I’m just not a rope trainer, I train for barrel racing. That being said, Drifter started on the barrels mid March and took to that like a fish to water! Already hunting the barrels and has a natural turn! I have hauled him a handful of times to barrel races and he’s been easy going each time. He’s has been doing well in exhibitions as well, but has not been entered. Easy keeper and no maintenance. Up to date on vaccines, worming, teeth and shoeing. Did I mention he is also paid in full for Future Fortunes!?

Drifter is ready to hit the road and start his seasoning year. I have videos upon request.
