Are you looking for safe quiet, sound gelding that has had tons of experience and prime age? Flokie is the one for you. Flokie is a very safe family horse. He is super well minded and so gentle and easy going. He does it all, trails, ranch, arena, kids, obstacle course, rides English, Western and drives too! If you’re looking for a safe solid trail partner look no further. He is 13.3 hands tall. Flokie is great on the trails and will go through mud, water, over logs, sure footed and solid in rough, rocky terrain. He is a point and go ride anywhere you take him. Through tight spots up and down any hills or mountains he will carry you safely through all terrain. Flokie is also very good down the road or through town in traffic he will go anywhere and never look back or get scared of anything. Flokie is good in a group, he will ride in any position or out alone he is just happy to be with you. He rides away from or back to other horses or the barn without any hassle. Flokie is very good to trailer to new places hop off the trailer and go ride he’s fine. He also knows how to lay down just for fun or to make it easy for you to get on and off. He also side passes up to the mounting block or anything you ask him to for you to mount and dismount. Flokie is very well broke, true one handed neck rein, soft in the bridle, lope out of his tracks, lopes excellent circles, soft and slow with a very nice stop on a loose rein. He knows his leads, side passes and very easy and push button to ride. You can also ride him bridle-less. He has a very smooth trot and lope with good transitions. If you don’t want to ride him, hook him up and go for a drive. He will pull anything including a 1 horse trailer. He’s not bothered by noise or anything going on around him. Traffic safe whether you are in town or down a country road. We have had all ages and levels of riders enjoy him. We know the whole history on Flokie as we purchased him from the breeder who also raised him. Ida broke Flokie as a 3yr old for the lady who bred and raised him. When Flokie’s owner decided she wanted a larger horse we were offered the chance to purchase him and we loved him so we bought him in January of 2021. Flokie has had tons of experience for a 5yr old. He has been rode for trail horse challenges, done all the ranch work, been rode for miles in the mountains carrying guests for White Mountain Outfitters, he has been loaned out for horsemanship clinics for novice riders, you can shoot off him and he’s been ridden by kids. Flokie takes time off well, let him set and he’s the same horse every time you ride or drive him. He will load in any trailer, backs out and hauls well. Flokie stands good for the farrier and vet. He gets along well with all other horses including mares, geldings and studs. He is happy in a box stall, in a corral or pasture. Flokie has the sweetest personality, he loves people and is very easy to catch. He is in-your-pocket kind of horse but he is very polite and has tons of ground manners. Flokie also has good conformation, thick made, cute head, soft kind eye and well balanced, black feet. We get compliments on him everywhere we go with his looks, personality, gentle nature and how well he rides. He is excellent to bathe and for the clippers. No vices or bad habits.He is up to date on worming, vaccinations, farrier and dental. He has had excellent care his whole life. Be sure to watch his video Flokie speaks for himself.
