We are calling her Dolly after Dolly Parton. Dolly is weaned, halter broke and ready for a new home. She will come with vaccinations, branded on her left hip, coggins, health papers if out of state, AQHA papers, signed transfer. She is a Herda carrier. Dolly is the friendliest baby out of this mare. This mare’s older 2 foals have both been watchy and stand offish, but not Dolly. She comes for a scratch every morning. She LOVES to run and has some pretty great jets on her. She is a little longer and taller than previous foals from the dam which have sized up to be 14.3/15 hands. I think she will be 15 or 15+ hands. I think she will be a big framed/boned mare once she is matured. Dolly is extremely friendly, gentle and has an easy going disposition. She is willing to learn and learns quickly. With the mind she is showing us so far, I think she should be versatile and she has the athletic ability. I also think she would make a great 4H yearling project. Her dam is Paddys Gin Sage JW whom we have high opinion of. We acquired her as as weanling from Woroniecki Ranch Quarter Horses in Hebron ND. We used her for a few years before breeding her. This is her 4th foal (her 2021 foal was born dead). We are extremely pleased! Her sire was bred by The Tongue River Ranch and is a son of Paddys Irish Whiskey out of a Tanquery Gin daughter. Her sire has been a main stallion for Woroniecki Ranch Quarter Horses out of Hebron ND for some time now producing MANY ranch, rope, barrel, breeding, 4H and so many other prospects. Her dam was a 84% foundation bred out of the Grantier program in Montana. We love how much bone Sage is putting on her babies along with their quick feet. Her sire Jack" is a 93% FQHA homozygous dun AQHA stallion. He is 15.1-15.2 hands and weighs around 1100 lbs. Jack has big black hooves, big hip, big shoulder and a big presence. We were drawn to Jack because of his size, disposition and breeding. His kind eye is also something we love about him. Jack loves to greet you wherever you are for a good scratch. Jack is 6th descendant of the King Ranch’s foundation sire, Ole Sorrel going back to him an estimated 7x. Hired Hand is only 2x off Jack’s papers which is very exciting. We are huge fans of the King Ranch program! His top side also carries speed through Boston Mac. Boston Mac had a great disposition and produced very versatile foals. Jack’s bottom side has Watch Joe Jack on his papers. Watch Joe Jack was one of the top earning sons of Two Eyed Jack. Captain Handy also goes to the great Oklahoma Star who was born in the Oklahoma Panhandle where Jamie is from. Just a neat little fact. Jack is going to add size, bone, great dispositions, speed and hopefully versatility to his offspring, not to mention color! Jack is homozygous dun, which means he can only produce duns. Our goal with Jack is to retain a couple replacements for ourselves and offer his other offspring as ranch or rope prospects. His first foal crop for us came in 2020 with 1 red dun gelding who is currently for sale. 50% down holds her until weaning remaining due before she leaves. She will be weaned, halter broke and eating on her own by end of August.
