Description:
Josie is a mule that the whole family can appreciate. She is a very personable mule and has never met a stranger! She will catch you out in the pasture. Josie has impeccable ground manners. She calmly stands for grooming, tacking up, treats and scratches. She loves being with people but is not pushy. Josie lowers her head to make bridling an ease.

When it comes to riding, Josie shines even more! She stands great for mounting (even for those of us that are slow and awkward). Josie has a fantastic neck rein!! She is very light and willing. She is BROKE and you can move any part of her body. Josie has many cool buttons but she is not complicated to ride. If you can move your hand forwards, backwards, left and right- you can ride this wonderful mule!

Josie has been used at the sale barn and feedlot sorting, pushing and loading cattle. She can work a gate with the best of them!

On the trail, she is confident whether alone or with a group. She crosses water and deadfall with ease. Rough, steep terrain doesn’t bother her. She knows how to take care of her rider.

If you don’t want to work cattle or be in the wilderness, you will still LOVE this mule! She is broke, as in for-real broke. She has a lovely headset and smooth as silk gaits. She knows her leads and lopes nice circles with great cadence. Josie can easily go to the show pen! She is completely unfazed by the excitement that town offers. She is traffic safe. She loads, hauls and unloads like a dream. Your farrier will also love her because she is a lady with her feet.

Make sure to check out her video- it’s long but worth the watch!! We even ride her bareback with just a neck rope.

Josie is truly an amazing mule!!! She would be fantastic for a first time mule owner or a veteran mule owner. She has nice withers and holds a saddle well so you don’t need special “mule equipment” to ride her.
