Description:
Large cow/calf outfit looking to fill a ranch hand potion for a short term . Needing a single male to start now till end of December . Willing to train .

Duties now going into Spring/Summer :

• Checking cows

• Breaking ice

• Ranch equipment maintenance

• Feeding livestock

• Ranch maintenance

• Fencing

• Cattle work ( moving , sorting , doctoring )

• Calving

• Branding ( rope to brand)

• Fixing tanks

• Putting out mineral

You will have to know how to ride a horse and motorbike . You will be using both . This isn’t a cowboy position on Yellowstone , you’ll be required to do as much general ranch duties along with some cattle work horseback or on motorbike . Looking for someone who can work alone or with others .

Duties in the Fall/Winter :

• Breaking ice

• Putting out protein

• Moving cows in cold weather

• Sorting

• Shipping

• Processing cows

There’s a lot of physical labor and heavy lifting , must be able to keep up .

You’ll be provided a house and beef . 70 miles from town ( 20 miles dirt ) , so it’s remote. You can have up to 3 personal horses . You’ll be working/living along side other hired help and families so must be respectable , willing to learn and take direction . Monday-Saturday work week . Occasional Sundays when needed .
