We are proud to offer Jose Poco James aka “Hoss” for sale! Hoss is a picture perfect example of a ranch gelding. He is big boned, correct hip and shoulder, and solid feet. He stands 15.2hh and 1,400lbs. He has been used extensively outside for all ranch duties that include; dragging hundreds to the fire, pasture rope and doctor, sort, and load semis. He is strong to the horn and would pull a house down, if you asked to. He works a rope like a seasoned pro. He has a nice smooth trot and comfortable rocking chair lope. Hoss is easy to be around and get along with. He rides around one handed, good stop, backs, sidepasses, and you can open/close gates off of him. He moves good off your legs. He loads himself in the trailer and will back out. He is traffic safe and will go where you point him. He crosses water easily. He stands good for the farrier. He has been hauled and exposed to a lot; chuckwagon races, ranch rodeos, and parades. He handles all the chaos with ease. He would make an exceptional head horse if someone took him in that direction, but he has not been roped off of out of the box yet. If you are looking for an excellent ranch gelding that all the hard work is done on, Hoss is your guy!
