We are a Christian family that loves the ranching life, animals and people. We have spent the last 4 years on a ranch in the Sandhills of Nebraska and are currently seeking a new place to call home, and a new brand to ride for. I have a wide range of experience and skills and am willing to continue to grow in new ways, experience and knowledge. I am capable of all aspects of ranch work, livestock care and production, haying, and supervising. I have good horsemanship and stockmanship and prefer to work cattle slow and steady. My wife and daughter enjoy being involved in ranch life. Ideally, we would like a place that we can enjoy as a family, be vested in and grow as we all build toward our future. I will bring my experience and skills to the table for you while continuing to learn and grow along the way. I can be a team player or work on my own. We have been blessed enough to build a small herd of cattle of our own and have a handful of horses, as well as Australian shepherds that we raise. Our dogs are generally kenneled and are not allowed to run amuck or antagonize stock and wildlife. The ideal opportunity would afford the ability to bring our livestock with us and continue to enjoy what we have worked to build. If that can’t be on site, we would consider a nearby lease option. My experience and skills include: Cow/calf Calving Night calving Tagging Pairing Calf backgrounding/grow yard Yearlings Doctoring Roping Sheep Fencing Water system/pipeline maintenance Windmills Pivot operation Haying Colt starting and horse training Trimming and shoeing Pregnancy Palpation Minor/intermediate veterinary General basic equipment maintenance Heavy Equipment operation Welding Light construction Semi Driving – non commercial Computer Supervising Public/guest/customer relations First aid and CPR We would prefer to be in the Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, South Dakota area, but would be open to consider other opportunities, as well.
