Description:
OE Ranch LLC located in Garden County, Nebraska is looking for a ranch hand for our commercial cow calf operation. We are a spring calving cow herd consisting of 600 head of cows. We also calve an additional 200 head of heifers to be marketed as pairs. We put up all of our own hay on three pivots as well as native hay meadows. Calves are back grounded for 60-90 days after weaning in the fall. Qualified applicants should be in good physical condition, able to lift 50#, provide their own horses (2), and have experience in calving, fencing, equipment operation and maintenance as well as know this is not a 9-5 job. During calving there will be some 12-15 hour days with some night calving required. We offer housing with utilities, beef, workman’s compensation, feed and shoes for two horses and a competitive wage to be discussed with applicants at an interview.
