Description:
A well established registered and commercial cattle operation with multiple locations in NW Louisiana and NE Texas is looking for a well rounded employee to oversee/perform day to day activities at one of its locations in NW Louisiana. We run 650 registered cows and 1000+ commercial cows. This employee would work with the general manager on a daily basis to make sure that all necessary tasks are done in a timely manner. This person would oversee 1-2 other employees. This person would be directly responsible for tagging all calves, keeping detailed calving records, making sure all cattle are cared for and healthy, rotating pastures, and general ranch maintenance. The ideal candidate would have a good knowledge base in animal husbandry, basic mechanic skills, and basic carpentry. AI and welding skills are a plus. We do use horses to do all cow. This person will be a part of all cattle work. We are a very family oriented operation so married with children is fine. The job comes with housing and a truck to use for ranch use.
