Saddle for Sale or Trade



I’d like to get this saddle traded or sold to someone who needs or wants in order to fund another project. Cash preferred, but entertaining serious trade offers of all kinds. High end bits, spurs, using gear, vehicles, a good draft x ranch horse.



Steve Mecum Custom 15” 3B Slick Fork

Slick out 7/8 Rigging 6 3/4” Gullet

12” x 4 1/2” Cantle 3” Horn 3 3/4” Cap

40 lbs as shown. 26” overall length.



Early saddle built when Steve was living in MT. It’s been ridden, but is built very well, and is still in real good shape. Seat, fenders, breast collar, and stirrups are marked Steve Mecum. World class maker.



I had new saddle strings, rope strap, keeper, latigo, and breast collar tugs added by local a local saddle maker Reid Flatten. Recently cleaned and conditioned with Ray Holes saddle butter. Cheap silver cantle plate and horn cap. Fully rigged. Traded / sold as pictured.
