Description:
Big Black AKA Captain is a gorgeous jet black gelding that is super fun to ride. He stands 15.3, is huge boned and stout made. He is very kind minded, real gentle and would suit a lot of different people. He has a big personality and likes his person. He’s been used as a ranch horse the last 3 years. He has been miles gathering and moving cattle to the pens. He’ll long trot for hours scouting for strays or checking fence. You can load trucks on him, use him in the alleys, pony and halter break colts off him or whatever you want to. The only thing they didn’t do is rope anything off him. We have been swinging a rope off him and tracking steers and the dummy. This guy would make an awesome head horse. He’s wants to lock onto a steer tracking, he’s very broke in the body and you can move him all over with your feet and he can fly but is so broke that he comes back down to you when you ask him to.

He’s impeccably well bred and is a son of Captain Courage (100SI and earner of $213,000) and has Mr Jess Perry, Chicks Beduino, Royal Shake Em and Royal Quick Dash in his immediate pedigree. He started life on the track and has a 90SI with almost $10,000 in winnings and would also make a fabulous barrel horse. He has not been started on them and is a clean slate for the barrel pen if that’s what you’re looking for. Again he’s broke enough you could start him around them today and go right on with him. He has been used to pony race horses.

On top of all that Big Black is a fun horse to trail ride on. He’ll go about anywhere you want him to. He’ll go through the trees and brush, up hills, through water and over bridges and logs. You can ride him in a group or take off alone on him. We’re not representing him as a kids horse but he is one that loves the babies and they can be all around him and mess with him and he’s super careful with them. You can put him on the lunge line with a little one on him and he’s so good. You can also pony him all over the place with a kiddo on him.

These good geldings that have looks, color, size, papers, a good pedigree, are nicely broke, good minded and gentle are super hard to find and when you do find them they usually cost $25,000 and up. He’s standing here ready for you to take him home. Big Black has impeccable manners and stands for the farrier, goes on the hot walker, ties, clips, bathes, loads and hauls.
