If you need a gentle, versatile pony who can do it all, and keep your kid safe while doing it, then take a look at Star. He is the cutest 16 year old bay Caspian gelding, 11.3 hh and just as sweet as can be. Star has done a little bit of everything in his life, and will stand quietly to be painted, get a bath, or just be loved on by the kids. He has been used on the ranch to push cattle and has been roped off of a handful of times, he has ridden English and Western, jumped, done obstacles, carried a flag, been in parades, and given lessons to kids. Star is not your typical pony and is not going to rub your child off on the fence, run them under a tree, buck them off, take off with them, or bite or kick. He is super easy to catch and never has to be chased or cornered. Star rides good both in the arena and out in the pasture, rides bareback with a halter, leadlines, and rides in the round pen for the green riders. He has an excellent direct rein and decent neck rein, will lope on both leads, and stops and backs easily. Star would make a cute little playday horse for a small rider, as nothing bothers him or scares him, or a nice safe horse for a kid to ride on the ranch and help dad work cattle. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Star has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $4,500. Star has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and trim. He recently had feet, teeth and coggins done so he is ready to go.
