Description:
If you are looking for a safe, sound, nice looking gelding to use on the ranch or ride on trails, then take a look at Bert. He is a 9 year old GRADE red roan gelding, 15hh and built well with a long mane and tail and a kind eye. Bert is sweet, friendly, gentle and wants to please. He doesn’t have a fancy handle or any specific training, as he has mainly been just a pleasure horse, but he is SAFE! He rides quietly on a loose rein, has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, he is easy to catch, and tries hard to do what you ask of him. With a little finishing on his handle he would be just amazing. Bert rides both in the arena and on trails, has been ridden English and Western, has been used on the ranch to push cattle, and in a pinch has had one or two roped off of him. By no means is he a finished rope horse, but has the mind to be with some more training. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, is good on both leads, and has a decent stop and back up. Bert can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $5,500. He has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe. He recently had shoes, teeth and coggins done so he is ready to go.
