Description:
JW Cheyenne, or “Bubby” as he is affectionately known, has been an absolute favorite of ours. This big guy is safe for everyone and is as dependable as they come. We cannot say enough good things about this outstanding gelding. From using him for ranch work, to carrying a flag, to being the literal babysitter... Bubby is the horse for it all. He is the go to when we need something to just get on and go no matter what we need to use him for. There’s no job too big and no rider to little for him.

Bubby’s primary job in life has been a using horse for ranch work, and some of the top hands in the country will testify he is the real deal. He is always up for going to work and is as dependable as they come for doctoring, branding, and sorting. He has a lot of cow and is fun to work a gate on. Bubby rides bridleless, will carry a flag, has been in all sorts of different country and crosses everything asked of him (water, logs, bridges, etc.). Bubby is great out in public. With his puppy dog personality, crowds love him as he just soaks up all the attention. He has a fancy enough handle you could easily go show him in SHTX and ranch horse classes as well.

Bubby has four fantastic gaits that are easy to ride and is one handed broke. He’ll neck rein easily, or ride off your seat and legs if you’d like to peal the bridle off and ride him without one. He will lope with his head level to his body, and your reins can be as long as they’ll go and he’ll never go faster than asked. Bubby is known as the BBB at our place - big, buckskin, babysitter. He happily totes the 8 month old baby around with momma aboard and that should speak VOLUMES about him because he is only one of three to ever get that prestigious job. He has also given our 2yr old niece her first ride on a horse just bareback in a halter. If a nervous rider or small kid is on him, he is the kind of horse to pick up on that and taking care of them in his number one priority.

Bubby has great ground manners: ground ties for everything, will load/unload himself or patiently wait for you to load/unload him, and is always a pleasure to be around. Bubby will have a very old scar on his front right by his coronet band that runs into his hoof. He does not require any special shoeing or maintenance and hoof tests completely sound. A vet check was done on 11/30 and he is 100% in every way. Can send copy of PPE.
