Description:
Here is a really cool young gelding that we bought directly from the breeder and started ourselves. “Charlie” has been gentle since the very first ride and has come along nicely ever since. His kind and willing nature has made him easy to train and has quickly built his confidence. We already have him breezing through the obstacle course, dragging logs, carrying flags and he is also hobble and slicker broke. He rides around light and responsive with a lot of feel and is proficient in all basic maneuvers. He has good hind quarter control and will set back over his hocks to turn and will pivot on a hind foot to spin. Moves right off of your hands and legs and is responsive through your seat. He lopes nice easy circles on a loose rein and on the correct lead. Soft in the face, yields nicely to hand and leg pressure and has a good stop and back up. We have also started roping and tracking the dummy on him and introduced him to live cattle. We think Charlie has the potential to go in any direction from the roping and cutting pens to the reining and ranch riding world or would be easy to continue on with for someone to have a nice ranch and trail horse to enjoy. Charlie has excellent ground manners with a sweet personality and likes people. Easy to catch, load and haul, stands quiet while tied and is good for the farrier. UTD on vaccines, dental and deworming. 100% sound and healthy. $12,500
