Description:
Theo is the cutest, chunkiest, Halflinger around! He is 9yrs old, stands 13.3hh tall and is just as wide as he is tall. If you’re needing one to take out to the trails, use on the ranch, pop over some smaller jumps, and even take down town… this guy is for you.
Theo has been all over outside, down many miles of trails, through various terrains, and will cross whatever comes his way including bridges, small obstacles, and rivers. He will even tote someone on a floaty behind him! Out on the ranch Theo has been used to push and gather cattle, as well as sort pairs. He has been taken to the booming location of the Fort Worth Stockyards where he rode around great. Traffic, large crowds, kids, dogs, etc.. he took it all in stride for it being his first time there. He even went up a set of stairs and to one of the local bars! Theo has been ridden by a wide age range/skill levels. He picks up both leads, will lope around on a loose rein, open and close gates, has a small sliding stop, and neck reins well with the aid of your legs. He has been used for walk/trot lessons as well and he did great as he has a very easy trot to sit. For smaller or less confident riders, he does do best two handed to go do a job. Over fences and under english tack, he is equally as easy to get along with. Theo has the talent to be the star of the barn for someone looking for a packer over lower fences with potential for BN-N horse trials. He presents a lovely picture when collected, has a very pleasing trot, and naturally tucks his legs over fences. We think he’d make a great Pony Club pony as well.
Theo stands tied all day like a gentleman, is good for the farrier, loads/unloads with ease, and gets along with everyone. He will carry a flag, ride bareback, stands to be flagged and will even let you blow dry him off with a leaf blower. He has never offered to hump up or buck with time off, nor has he ever offered to bite, rear, or kick. Theo is 100% sound.
