Description:
This is an older, handmade Sliester bit was purchased in the 70’s – Estate find. It was made in Sanger, California. The mouthpiece is 5" wide, the "polo" port is about 1 3/8" high with a copper cover and copper cricket. The 8" cheeks are stainless steel and beautifully engraved! The slobber bar is also engraved. Sliester bits feature a square pin loose jaw, which eliminates the bit’s cheeks from turning, yet allowing the action required in a loose jawed bit. This is a very nice using, working bit. Marker’s marks: --- "Sliester Bit Sanger, Calif. U.S.A.” and a light number “28" left cheek, “Surgical Stainless Steel" ---inside right cheek; --- and "Sliester-Bit" ---on the back of the slobber bar. Still in excellent, lightly used condition!
