"Sputnik" is the whole package, he will check all of the boxes no matter what you are looking to do on horseback! He is fully trained in the cutting and cow horse, does all of the reining maneuvers with ease, super quiet and easy to ride, trail rides great, and has even roped the hot heels. Sputnik is by Wilds My Thing who has NCHA earning exceeding $60,000, who is by Wild Thing DNA who has NCHA earnings exceeding $94,000. He is out of Holidocs Starflight who herself has NCHA earnings of $80,000! Sputnik is bred the very best and it shows, not only is he talented he is very good minded and fun to ride. We have trail rode Sputnik many miles through county parks, he crosses dead fall, wooden bridges, water, brush, will lead the pack or hang in the back, sure footed, and smooth moving. Sputnik has also helped start many 2 year olds, he is a great pony horse, very patient, and can pull from the horn if needed. Our very favorite thing about this gelding is that he stays gentle, saddles up the same no matter how much time he has off, and will be the same horse as the last time you rode. Sputnik has been in great hands his whole life; he was trained in the cutting and working cow horse by Al Dunning. He is very smooth moving in all gates, extents his trot nicely and we believe could really excel in the ranch classes. Sputnik has a sweet loving personality, easy to catch, loves to be pampered, and is great for the farrier.
