“Krogs Silky” was bought as a weanling, from the Louis Krogman family (Krogman Quarter Horses) in White River, SD. I broke Krogs Silky as a two-year old and have been ranching on her ever since. She isn’t real big, but don’t tell her that- she has the heart to do anything that needs done. I utilize the Clinton Anderson method for a respectful, safe, soft mouthed horse. She is easy to get along with, has a nice handle, and is sure footed. She has been used for everything on our working cattle ranch- sorting pairs during calving, pulling bulls, bringing cattle into the working alley, and sorting during AI season. Krogs Silky works wire and metal gates, has dragged hundreds of calves to the branding fire, and even with her small stature, she is my go-to for pasture doctoring calves, yearlings, and mature bulls. Take a glance at her pedigree and see why she watches a cow and is fun to sort on. Krogs Silky would make a great heel, breakaway, goat tying, turnback, team penning, trail riding, broodmare, or keep ranching on her. Krogs Silky is safe, sound, and has her whole life ahead of her. She is 14.2 hands tall, easy to mount/dismount, calm during hoof trimmings, loads easily in the trailer, and good to saddle, bridle, bath, and ride.
