This nearly 4500 acre ranch has a carrying capacity of approximately 425 head. The property includes a large home with real oak floors, 5 bedrooms plus an office. There are 3 bathrooms and a full basement. We recently completed a large pole barn with a finished tack room. We have year around river water, springs, windmills and solar powered water. We have a mix of Sandhills grass and hard grass. Three newer pivots with excellent Sandhills type water capable of pumping 950GPM which support a predictable winter feed source. We have attempted to be good stewards of the land. We have a high quality purebred Angus closed herd with some of the herd being registered and most of the herd eligible to be registered. Bloodlines include some of the best Angus AI sires. This is a great location that is only 1.75 miles south of S.D. state highway 18 (junction at Vetal, S. D) in Bennet County on a good gravel road. We are at the north edge of the Sandhills in South Dakota, directly north of Cody, Nebr. Our furthest south pasture is about 5 miles north of the Nebr. border. The ranch is for lease only and is not for sale. While it would be simpler and it would make for a better balanced ranch to lease the whole ranch together, It is conceivable the pivots could be leased separately from the rest of the ranch.
