Maui is a very GENTLE, GENTLE, GENTLE! Ranch Horse, Parade/Traffic Safe, Kid Safe, Cutting, All around kind and safe for any level of rider. Ride him in town or out in the mountains he is as solid as they come. Gunfire, fireworks, wildlife, nothing bothers him. He’s a Catsanova " Maui " is very cowy with NCHA earnings of $5,663.00 himself. He is an own son of " Hes A Peptospoonful (NCHA earnings in excess of 72,950.00+ and has a get of over 3,000,000) and out of Too Good Cat who is a own daughter of High Brow Cat all time leading NCHA sire. Maui is a fantastic gelding with all the charm you could ever ask for. He is a very special kind of friend that likes to be around you. He is very easy to catch and meets you at the gate, always happy to go for a ride. Gentle and safe for any level rider at any age. Maui’s conformation is outstanding he is 14.3 hand tall 1200 lbs has a cute head short back and big round hip deep heart girth and lots of bone. We have used Maui all over the ranch to gather, sort, and doctor cattle. Maui is a super fun horse to ride with all the handle you could ever ask for a true one handed neck rein and rides off your seat and legs and will give you a sliding stop and a good turn around that anyone can enjoy. We recently loaned Maui to Miss Rodeo Nevada, Kaely Juzek, to use for the Cody Stampede Parade and PRCA rodeo in Cody Wy. He was very safe and never got rattled or hot even with the crowd and fireworks at the rodeo. We have used Maui for mounted shooting and he is great at it stays very smooth and level headed and sets you up for the perfect runs that makes him great for the lower level shooters or beginners to learn on. Out on the trail he is sure footed and goes where he is pointed. Crosses creeks and downed timber with out hesitation. Rides in a group or rides off alone without a fuss. He takes time off well, let him set as long as you want and just saddle up and go. No warm up needed, he is hassle free. He rides to the level of rider, he’s a true babysitter that will take it very slow and easy with the youngest rider but will move out and ride fancy if you ask him to. He carries his head level, has a nice easy going slow lope and smooth trot. Easy to bathe, clip, shoe, loads in and backs out of the trailer. Excellent ground manors. He is happy in a box stall, out in a corral or on a pasture. Pre-purchase exams welcome at buyers expense. You are also welcome to come to the ranch and ride him.
