Ike is a gorgeous golden buckskin gelding with lots of eye appeal that is BROKE BROKE. He’s gentle and tacks up with no issues or silliness. He’s 14.3 and extremely shapey with big bone and great feet. He has a great handle and is broke enough to put him anywhere you want to. You can ride him with your feet or hands. He’s been ridden in the arena and he’ll WTL, do roll backs, turn around, neck rein, pick up his leads, lope circles, move off your leg and has a good stop. He’s a finished heel horse that has won a lot. He’ll fit anyone from a guy that’s learning up to a #6 roper. He’s good in the box, runs to the hip, never misses the corner and has a big stop. He’s automatic and stops as soon as the rope leaves your hand. He’s ready to haul to a jackpot or rodeo today.

He came off a big ranch originally and is no stranger to long days. This guy will and has done everything you can do with one on a ranch including gathering, penning, sorting pairs, doctoring sicks, dragging calves to the fire, scouting for strays, loading trucks and checking fences. He was used to catch stray cattle out on the roads for the county. He was used in a feedlot and will side pass the gates with ease all day long. He always had a great work ethic and will not quit you. Ike is also a trail riders dream to go anywhere. We loaned him to some friends and they took to him out to Palo Duro Canyon and they say he was fantastic on those trails. We took him to Dinosaur Valley State Park and the National Grasslands which is 80,000 acres on trail rides and he rides just fine in a group and will ride anywhere you want front, middle or back. He will also ride out alone willingly if you just want a nice solitary ride.

If you want a horse with the whole package conformation, flash, pretty, athletic ability, work ethic, mind and heart look no further. Here he is at a reasonable price ready to go to work with you. Ike has absolutely no bad habits or vices. He stands for the farrier, ties, clips, bathes, loads and hauls. He does have some cosmetic blemishes but they don’t keep him from doing his job. Most people never even notice it but he is priced below market value in consideration of them. All the good ones that have been used all have a lump or bump somewhere.
