Description:
“Lunchbox” is a 7 year old that was started late (as a 5 year old) but very correctly and is going really well. When we bought him, I was told he is a draft cross but I am not sure what breed. He is put up like a stout built warm blood and wears a size 2 shoe. Good to shoe, good to ride out by yourself or away from other horses, good in a cavvy, good in barbed wire, etc.. This horse will come running to you the second he sees you in the pasture, he has a very outgoing personality. He is gentle but needs an experienced rider, preferably with a cowboy job, because he has a large (yet controllable) motor. Not a beginners horse! He will go all day and can cover country while being smooth to ride. He would probably be fine as a trail horse for a confident intermediate rider. He has a good handle, moves off of your seat, and has drug a few calves to the fire at brandings. He has also doctored calves outside. We will continue using him on the ranch until he sells.
