Littlefoot is kind hearted with a sweet personality and is as cute as they come! He is a pony that will fit anyone looking for one anywhere within the range of a first pony to an advanced beginner pony. Littlefoot is very well mannered on the ground and easy for the little ones to handle themselves where they can learn to lead, groom and safely handle one that is not an intimidating size. He both leadlines and rides alone. He is soft mouthed and easy to ride with a good stop and back up. He is steadily improving in leaps and bounds in terms of his finesse and handle riding alone. While he turns, stops and backs up well he is also starting to neck rein, work off leg, cross over and side pass. He is a fancy little guy and is making a super neat riding pony. Rides very simply for a kiddo who doesn’t know the difference and can do a little more for one who has the ability to ask. We have hauled Littlefoot quite a bit, mostly to the roping pen. He has plenty of exposure to commotion and is extremely patient. He will ride amongst the big horses during warm up, help push cattle into the stripping chute and up the return alley and isn’t bothered by the ropes or horses loping around him or running up on him. He will stand tied all day long and is very tolerant of the kids tying and untying him, getting on and off over and over again and playing games him to pass the time while we rope. He will let them swing a rope all they want and doesn’t get bothered. He is ideal for the kiddos to get the feel of swinging a rope and roping the dummy at a standstill horse back. Littlefoot is easy to catch and good for the farrier to trim. He only has one notable hole, he is not a fan of a spray bottle, but if you’ll just ignore it and spray him and not be sneaky about it he gets over it quickly. He has no health issues or maintenance needs. This is a pony that stands out to us simply because of his good mind and willingness to constantly learn and improve.
