Ruger – 2011 – 16.2h – Gelding – Draft Cross



Ruger is one cool draft cross gelding! He stands 16.2h and is as good to use on the ranch in the sorting pen as a little horse. He is one hand neck rein broke and moves off your leg with ease. He opens and closes every gate you come to. He will go through the thickest mesquite and brush you can find to push cattle out and is as quiet and gentle as you can get one with the calves. Ruger nudges the smallest calves with his nose to ease them along the path. We take him through belly deep water, mud bogs, over rocks and logs, up and down steep hills and he goes with no hesitation. Ruger is quiet and easy to take on a relaxing ride down the trail as well. He will ride in a group or out alone and has been used on a dude ranch in Montana. Ruger saddles up with no buck even with time off. He carries the flag, pushes the ball and doesn’t mind if you bounce it with your friend. For the last year we just pull Ruger out of the pen, saddle him up and ride right off to get whatever job it is we need done or to go enjoy a relaxing ride down the trail and he doesn’t give us any issues. We have ponied other horses off him with no troubles at all. He loads right up in the trailer, even a 6.5 foot wide pipe trailer and will back right off it as well. Ruger lopes nice circles in the arena on a loose rein, picks up both leads and has a good stop, and pivots around himself nicely. Ruger is an outstanding gelding that is very well broke and enjoyable to ride. He stands to be bathed and is mounting block broke or you can find the flatbed trailer as well. Ruger is sound, is current on worming, vaccination, has a current coggins and health and is ready for you to enjoy. FMI call (406)897-4717
