If you are looking for a big stout horse to use on the ranch or ride on trails, one that is safe for the entire family, then take a look at Cassidy. He is sure to get you noticed everywhere you take him! He is a good looking 9 year old lineback dun gelding, 15.3hh and close to 1350 pounds, with a huge hip, wide chest, and plenty of bone. Cassidy is the type of horse you can let sit for months, then saddle up and hop on with ansolutely no problems. He has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and has a sweet, friendly personality. Cassidy sells as GRADE. He has been used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, ponying colts, and checking fence. He has also been used to pony racehorses on the track, so absolutely nothing bothers him. He is used to all the noises, sounds, sights and craziness of the track, and always stays quiet and calm. We owned Cassidy nearly 4 years ago, sold him to a trainer to use on the track, then 2 years ago he was bought by a 75 year old man to ride on his ranch. He got sick soon after and Cassidy was turned out until we bought him months ago. We saddled him up and he rode off like he had been ridden the day before. He wants to be good and do what you ask of him. Cassidy is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has a very good handle, is good on both leads, will sidepass and work a gate. He is very smooth and easy to ride, walks quietly on a loose rein and travels out nicely. Cassidy is an excellent ranch horse and trail horse but is the perfect age to take in any direction you choose. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $12,500. Cassidy has excellent ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe. He recently had shoes, teeth and coggins done so he is ready to go.
