Description:
Noel is a very shapey 11 year old bay gelding, 14.3 hh and stout with a big hip, plenty of bone, and four black feet. He sells as GRADE. He is the perfect size, weighing close to 1150 pounds, and not too far off the ground so he is easy to get on. Noel has been ridden extensively on trails all over the southwest, owned by an older woman who used to take him on overnight and weekend camping trips with her friends. He is very personable and loves attention, but not spoiled in any way. Noel has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, even when not ridden regularly. He has a very smooth trot that you could sit to all day without getting tired, and has been taught to travel out. Noel is laid back and rides quietly on a loose rein, yet is plenty responsive to his rider’s cues so he would be best suited to an intermediate adult rider or an experienced older youth rider. Noel has a very good handle and stop, a light mouth, and is eager to do what is asked of him. We have played around on the barrels with him and feel that he would be an excellent playday prospect, as he has plenty of speed when asked. Noel is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, over or through anything you point him at, can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Noel has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $6,500. Noel has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
