Hands down one of the handiest horses to have around. If you want safe, sure-footed, been there – done that type of animal… this is the one for you! “Buddy” has no funny business to him. If you have rode a broke horse then you’ll appreciate the ease of this guy. He is broke and I mean that in every fashion of the word. A true neck rein, amazing stop, easy turn around, he even has the ability to pick up in the lope from a walk. Rides around just as quiet and easy in a halter as he would with a bit in his mouth. Buddy has been a feedlot horse as well as been rode and used on the ranch. Sorting, moving, working gates, this horse basically has an auto-pilot button. Has been said to been roped off of on the head side, with that said, it would have been years since he has seen a box, I do no have steers so I am not selling him as any type of finished, as a competitive rope horse. Just note it has been said. However, he is completely used to being around a rope. Recently Buddy has been a 12 yo girls trusty steed. She has ran barrels on him, tracked around the dummy learning the “ropes”. He has done more trail rides than anyone can count. He has been used at some jr. Rodeos for barrels and goat tying. This guy has even participated in ranch sorting and team penning classes. Buddy truly is a great horse that most anyone can ride. If you know the basics you can ride this horse simple as that. He is super light in the mouth doesn’t take more than a snaffle. This horse has NO BUCK TO HIM! Let him sit, let it get cold, it doesn’t matter same trip every time. Isn’t bothered by traffic, loves riding through the water, or even the woods with animals running around. It’s hard to find one with a gentle easy going demeanor, that’s user friendly to ride, and safe, with a rock solid foundation. Buddy stands 15 hands, has good thick bone, no major scars or blemishes, and nice solid feet.
