Description:
Beautiful wade saddle made of Hermaan Oak. Has pre-twisted stirrups and inlaid padded seat, rawhide cantle, pommel and horn bindings,full tooling with dyed background,crupper and breast collar rings, sterling overlay conchos with brass binding. The Hope rigging uses two points of pull --front to rear--down to cinch. Makes for a secure and comfortable rigging for horse.Built on a Steele 15" tree with a 4" cantle, this saddle will fit horses and mules with a somewhat narrow to average build. Similar to a semi-Quarter horse tree with a shorter rock front to rear. Gullet measures 8". Not made for wide, chunky horses. I use it on my 15 hand Tennessee Walker. Weight is 28 pounds minus stirrups, so it’s a great trail saddle, and would work well in the show pen, Working Equitation, etc, Balanced seat with stirrup leathers hung directly under your center of balance. Saddle includes matching buck rolls and 5" lined Nettles stirrups with brass and stainless Jailhouse overlay by Chet Nicholas. Cantle concho not included. Leather, wool lining,rigging all in excellent condition. Saddle is kept in the house when not in use.This is a saddle worth checking out. Custom made by JJ Maxwell in July, 2019.
