If you are looking for a talented, athletic, well bred gelding to use on the ranch or take to the arena and make a performance horse out of, then take a look at Smartie. He is a good looking 12 year old lineback dun gelding, 15hh and well built with a big hip, long mane, plenty of bone and four black feet. Smartie is extremely well bred, by an own son of Smart Chic Olena and out of an own daughter of Hollywood Dun it. He is AQHA registered as Dunit Smartly #514933. He is very quick footed, with a big motor and a ton of speed, and knows how to travel out in the pasture. He is strong to the horn and won’t get you into a bind working cattle. Smartie has an excellent handle and stop, is good on both leads, will sidepass and work a gate. He has excellent ground manners and is very personable. He does best when ridden regularly. Smartie would make an excellent head or heel horse and it wouldn’t take much to get him finished out roping steers in the arena. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, under or through anything you point him at. Smartie can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Asking $5500. Smartie stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
