Bar T Bar Ranch

750 head feedlot and 200 acre irrigated farm built to enable pasture access by feedlot cattle. GAP IV certified, utilizing holistic, natural, and regenerative practices. Candidate will be solely responsible for operation and day to day tasks. Location is 22 miles NW of St Johns, AZ on US highway 180.

CLASS A CDL AND CATTLE HAULING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Responsibilities include:

1. Feed and provide care for all assigned cattle

2. Communicate changing conditions or developing situations to management in timely manner

3. Ask for advice, guidance, or help when needed

4. Maintain and make necessary repairs on any and all equipment. Keep records of repairs and all other maintenance.

5. Communicate with management if there is a repair you either need assistance with or needs to be budgeted for as a large expense

6. Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment. Greasing is way easier than replacing a bad bearing in the middle of a busy day.

7. Maintain accurate and timely records of cattle movements, treatments, death loss, and feed usage

8. Maintain and improve upon facilities including buildings, corrals, and other infrastructure

9. Keep surroundings/grounds, both inside and outside neat and clean.

10. Look ahead to the next project, and make sure you have what you will or may need beforehand if possible.

11. Seek out and pursue cost savings at every opportunity, without sacrificing performance or output.

12. Operate and maintain irrigation equipment, ensuring water is applied economically, but sufficiently

13. Maintain a responsible inventory of consumables, including commonly used parts, fluids, filters, etc.

14. Pursue understanding of and work towards implementation of sustainable, regenerative agriculture.

15. Explore producing Forage Kochia for both seed production and grazing

16. Assist in the rest of the operations as needed.

COMPENSATION

Salary DOE, 3 bed 2 bath house, propane, electric, internet, beef, grocery allowance, health insurance for the employee, life insurance, work vehicle, 401K with matching contribution program.
