If you are looking for a nice horse with a good foundation that you can finish out how you want, then check out Rip. He is a flashy 7 year old palomino gelding, with dapples all over his body and a pretty white mane and tail. Rip is very well built, 15hh and very stout with a big hip, wide chest, and plenty of bone. He sells as GRADE with no way to get papers. Rip has been used for all phases of ranch work including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, dragging bulls into the trailer, and checking fence. He is strong to the horn and would make an excellent head or heel horse. He has a very smooth trot and lope that you can sit to all day long without getting sore, and has been taught to travel out nicely in the pasture. Rip is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He is good on both leads, will sidepass and work a gate. He has a decent handle and stop, and rides quietly on a loose rein. Rip can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He is gentle to be around and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick, or take off, but is not suitable for beginners or children. He needs to go to someone who will give him a job and use him regularly. Asking $5,500. Rip has some old wire cuts on his right hind leg but they are cosmetic and do not cause any soreness or soundness problems, He has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to load, haul and shoe.
