If you want a horse that has it all, from looks, to disposition, to training, and personality, then check out Tanner. He is an extremely flashy 7 year old buckskin gelding, 15.2hh with dapples all over his body and a ton of shape. Tanner has plenty of bone and four black feet, with a kind eye and a willing disposition. He is extremely gentle with impeccable ground manners, and is suitable for advanced beginners on up, and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. Tanner is good minded and dependable, the same horse every time you ride him, and doesn’t need to be ridden every day to stay gentle. He came off of a ranch in West Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. Tanner is flashy and well broke, and while he is an excellent ranch horse, he has the mind and athletic ability to do so many other things. He would make a nice, safe trail horse, or finish him out and you could show him in Ranch Versatility or trail competitions. Tanner has the smoothest trot and rocking horse lope, and is so comfortable to ride you could ride him all day long without getting sore. He is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He has a good one handed neck rein, is good on both leads, will sidepass, and work a gate. He rides quietly on a loose rein, content to walk all day long if you prefer but will easily step into a trot or lope when asked. He is very sure footed and will go up, over or through anything you point him at. Tanner can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Asking $9,500. Tanner has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to catch, load, haul and shoe.
