Here is a true all around horse. “Socks” is a gentle and quiet natured 5 year old 16.1 hand draft cross gelding. He has tons of ranch experience and has been used for all aspects of the game from sorting, branding and doctoring to starting colts, packing around guests, and pulling the calving sled during the cold of winter. He is fun to rope on in the pasture and in the branding corral. Very gritty and strong from the saddle horn and handles a rope well. Socks has competed in several ranch rodeos and been used to pick up saddle broncs as well. He is a phenomenal trail horse who is always solid while riding out in the rugged Wyoming backcountry and will go up, down over or across whatever you point him at. Nicely trained and fun to ride in the arena with an easy neck rein, smooth trot and comfortable lope. He has a good stop and back up and will set back to turn on a cow. Soft in the face and sides and responds easily to hand and leg cues. Gentle, sane and 100% sound. $15,000
