Description:
Cajun, 5 y/o unaltered male Border Collie. He has been worked on sheep, cows/calves, goats and hogs. I worked with trainer, John Holman in Nebraska to get this dog started on sheep. He has a great recall and a decent outrun. Commands known: comebye, away, here, take time, stand, there, lie down, walk up and get ’em(bite command), will heal on both sides. He prefers to bite hocks, but has gone to the nose multiple times. He’s mostly worked on gathering or holding stock back, I used him quite a few times to hold back pasture raised hogs while I dumped feed. His driving needs some work as I sold out of my stock before we could really train it. He’s been mostly out of work for 2 years, and he wants his job back, that’s why I’m offering him for sale. He was bred in South Dakota by a beef/sheep stockman, he was supposed to be registered with the ABCA, but his breeder listed him as a female and it was never sorted out. He’s a really nice dog, he takes correction well and tries his best for his handler, I’d someone to take him who could finish him off and work him. He’d be a fun trial dog or ranch hand.
