Description:
Val is a beautiful bright sorrel mare that stands 14.1 and is super stout with flawless conformation. She looks like the old style bulldog quarter horse. She is super broke and absolutely gentle for anyone including the grandkids. She isn’t a horse you have to ride every day for her to stay gentle. She’s always willing to please and you can tack her up anytime and just go without issue. She’s been used extensively for ranch duties including gathering, penning, sorting pairs, dragging calves and loading trucks. She’s a horse that you can go prowl pastures on and feel confidant out alone. She will ride out on a loose rein and walk all day until you ask for more. She’s a horse you can let novice guests ride and know that they’ll be safe.

She’s been used at a pre-conditioning feedlot and will side pass opening and closing gates with ease. She will long trot the alleys all day without breaking stride.

We’ve been tracking the roping dummy and live cattle on her. She shows potential to finish out as heel horse if you chose to go that route. She has plenty of speed and stop to suit anyone. She’s been used at ranch rodeos and is quiet at new arenas.

She will carry a flag and would make a fantastic drill team horse. Or even a queens contest horse. She would look fancy doing either one. The lady we got her from rode her in parades and grand entries.

She’s a fantastic trail horse and goes willingly wherever you point her including up and down big hills, through rough terrain, through water, over bridges and logs. She’ll ride down the road and is traffic safe. She’s been hauled to Dinosaur Valley Park, The National Grasslands and Palo Duro Canyon to ride.
