Ranch Jobs: Wanted - Farm Hand - Handyman for Private Guest Ranch - Southern Colorado SOLD #122057 Posted by: barniranch [see other ads by this poster] City: Weston [see other ads in this city] State: Colorado [see other ads in this state] Job Title: Farm Hand/Handyman Employer: Bar NI Ranch Salary: $2000-$2200 Room & Board: Yes (no pets and no family housing available) Phone #: 719-680-4671 click to view fullsize image Description: HIRING FOR THIS POSITION IS ON HOLD Farm Hand/ Handyman: (1 position open) We are looking for a skilled farm hand that has experience or is willing to learn ditch irrigation, weed spraying, fencing, haying, etc. This person will also assist our maintenance department with handyman repairs and projects around the ranch. We prefer to find someone that has basic carpentry knowledge and can use various hand tools in a safe manner. It would be ideal and preference will be given to those that have experience elk hunting and can assist in our hunting operation. Our hours are long and days off vary throughout our season. This is not a "punch in at 8 and out at 5" type of job. We are a guest ranch so there are times that emergency maintenance or repairs must be taken care of at all hours of the day and sometimes even at night. We need someone willing to go the extra mile to ensure our guests’ experiences are top notch at all times. We need a team player that doesn’t cause drama and stays positive regardless of the situation at hand. Hospitality is extremely important and our mantra "guests first, coworkers second and ourselves last" must be upheld. The ranch is located at 9000 feet and many coming from lower altitudes find it difficult to adjust. It is important, especially in this position, to be in excellent physical condition. Compensation includes a salary that varies depending on experience and skills ($2,200/mo +/- depending on experience), a share of the tip pool, housing (roommate(s) with a private bedroom and shared bathroom - NO PETS), meals, end of season bonus, and access to ranch amenities on days off.
