Mitch is the real deal, the type that doesn’t come up for sale very often. He is a stout, good looking gelding carrying the brands of the famous Muleshoe Ranch, weighing close to 1300 pounds and 15.1hh. Mitch is built the way one should be, with a deep girth, big hip, plenty of bone and good sized black feet. He is 12 years old and extremely well bred, AQHA registered as “Ten O Seahorse Peppy” # 5120964. He will sidepass, work off your legs, and open gates. He has seen more miles in his 12 years than most horses will see in their lifetime, and it shows in how quiet he rides. Mitch has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off, and has never been spoiled or made into a pet. He is as honest as the day is long, and you know exactly what you are going to get every time you step up onto him. He rides just as good with a rope around his neck as he does with a bridle, he is that broke. Mitch has spent the majority of his life on a ranch out in West Texas, where he was used for all phases of ranch work, including sorting pairs, roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture, and checking fence. We have ponied colts off of him and they can literally climb all over him and it won’t bother him. Mitch is stout, tough, and could pull a house down if you asked him to. He is cowy, strong to the horn and good on the end of a rope, never getting excited or upset when working cattle. We have been tracking the hot heels on him and he has plenty of rate. Mitch is an excellent ranch horse but has the athletic ability to make an outstanding head or heel horse, and the mind and disposition to make a nice safe trail horse as well. He would be great for the cowboys to use during the week and then trust him to keep the bossman safe on the weekends. Mitch rides quietly on a loose rein, yet is very responsive with plenty of gas if asked. He will not take advantage of a less experienced rider and will really step up his game for someone who knows what they are doing. Mitch is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Mitch has been hauled to rodeos and different ranches and doesn’t mind the lights, sights or sounds of somewhere new. He is the same quiet horse everywhere you take him. Asking $12,000.
