Description:
HERDSMAN The Bar Cross Ranch is a great place to work, with a regenerative focus. The ranch is a seasonal yearling outfit located in Western Wyoming. Responsible for health of grazing animals; identify and doctor sickness; strategic salt and mineral placement to facilitate optimum grazing; track daily pasture conditions; construct grazing cells with poly wire in larger pastures and hay meadows; assist in all cattle work including receiving, moving, and shipping; responsible for equipment and infrastructure maintenance; inform Ranch Manager of fencing supplies needed; equipment repairs identified, reported, and resolved. The herdsman will report directly to the ranch manager. The position requires an individual with the following experience and characteristics: demonstrated experience in identifying and doctoring yearling animals horseback; strong horsemanship and low-stress stock handling skills; strong fencing abilities; a willingness to work until the job is finished.
