If you are looking for a horse that’s cowy and quick footed to take to the arena and make a performance horse out of, then take a look at Twister. He is a neat little gelding, 8 years old and 14.1 hh with a ton of chrome, from his big blaze face to his long mane and tail and four white socks. Twister is AQHA registered as “Twisted Peppy Crème” #5812468. He is extremely well bred, his pedigree loaded with champions, both in reining and cutting. Twister is a grandson of Dun It With A Twist on the top and Little Rush on the bottom, with Hollywood Dun It, Mr San Peppy, Peppy San Badger, and the great mare Playboys Ruby all right on his papers. Twister was bred and raised By TK Quarter horses and remained with them until last year, when he was sold to a ranch in South Texas. He has had quite a bit of cutting training and has also had extensive riding outside on the ranch. He enjoys the cow work and naturally wants to work, so he would excel in the sorting pen. He has an excellent handle and stop and a ton of athletic ability, so he would make an excellent heel horse or breakaway horse, or even a Ranch Versatility Horse for someone who wanted to show. Twister rides quietly on a loose rein and is just as happy taking a stroll down the trails as he is putting in a days work. He is the perfect age for someone to take to the next level, in whatever direction they choose. Twister is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He is good on both leads, will do flying lead changes, sidepass, work a gate and do pretty rollbacks and sliding stops. Twister can be ridden out by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. He has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. Twister is a cowboys horse, not for the faint of heart. He is watchy on the ground, hard to catch, and cinchy when fresh but not an outlaw. He will act stupid when first walked off after being saddled, but once you jip him around for a minute you can hop on and he rides great.
