Description:
The position is for a herd manager for Southwest Montana Grazing Association. The position is from May 1 through October 1. The herd manager will ride 5 days a week on 450 head of cow/calf pairs and yearlings. The position will require herd health (doctoring calves and monitoring sickness), fencing, work with Forest Service on range management and provide Grazing Association with weekly documentation on cattle movements and health. Cabin provided with kitchen, two bedrooms, living room and bathroom (no electricity). Remote cabin also for use during summer grazing. Horses required. Team considered. Salary depending on experience.
