Horse Farm Foreman/Handyman

Looking for a superstar that can help in every aspect of an equestrian boarding facility and can fix anything. Need an honest & mature ‘Go to Guy’ with several years of barn experience to manage & be responsible for a beautiful, private boarding facility on 64 acres in McKinney, Texas

Your job will require:

• You will be responsible for managing every aspect of the business

• Managing, working with & overseeing the work of three grooms

• Competent in operating Mahindra tractors & skidsteer

• Experience welding.

• Fix a broken PVC water pipe

• The ability to mend fencing & tighten a cable

• Equipment maintenance, oil changes & greasing joints

• Manage the weed spraying, fertilizing & brush hogging of 60 acres

• Use equipment to Cut & Bale Hay

• Comfortable walking several horses at a time to pasture

• Stall mucking (on occasion)

• Comfortable communicating with clients

Your day will start at 7:00 with watering & grooming the arena, handling horses to pastures then various afternoon projects such as equipment maintenance, fix broken pipes, stretching cable, welding, pasture care, mowing or weed eating. Days typically end at 6:00 with an hour for lunch so be prepared for an energetic day in a 6 day work week. The clients are wonderful people & housing (with utilities) is provided.
