Description:
We are seeking a Ranch Hand for our diverse Central Montana ranch. The opportunity is available now. Your role will be to assist in the day-to-day operations of the ranch consisting of 1000+ cow/calf pairs and 500+/- yearlings. The cattle run on range and meadows with limited winter feeding and farming. The Ranch Hand will be expected to learn ranch operations, the management’s vision, integrate into the existing ranch system, and work as part of the ranch team in jobs such as fencing, feeding, calving and other work. This is not a cowboy/full-time horseback position. We use horses mostly to handle the cattle and 4-wheeler and UTV extensively for other operations.



The ideal candidate for this position:

*Expresses an eagerness to learn



*Possesses strong communication skills



*Works well both alone and with others



*Is a self-starter with a strong work ethic



*Can live happily in a remote area



Agricultural interest and knowledge will be assumed, but we are more concerned with the above qualities than your current ranching skills. We expect this position to have a learning curve as you learn about our system as well as our vision for the future. We expect to pay you fairly depending on experience and skill and provide housing and utilities.



Please note that ranch location is rural: 40+ miles to nearest grocery store/ 17 miles to nearest school, and with almost no neighbors.
