“Fivestar Whatta Roan” aka Drifter is a 2013 Blue/Brown Roan AQHA gelding with Sunfrost and Dash For Perks on his papers in the sire side. He is Hancock, Blackburn and King bred on the dam’s side. He is 15.3 hands tall.

Drifter stays broke whether you ride him everyday or once a month. Drifter has been ridden countless miles outside, has day worked to check fence and pairs; gathered, sorted, roped and drug calves, etc. He has been trail rode in all kinds of terrain and will go through, over and under anything you point him at. He has been used to teach cow working clinics, been to several sensory clinics for desensitization, has competed in Trail Challenges and competed Trailer Loading events in Ranch Rodeos. He has ridden in dozens of parades and Rodeo Grand Entries, rides in formation, and has carried a flag countless times. Nothing phases him and he takes everything in stride. He is not bothered by loud noises or commotion. He gets along with both mares and geldings, loves to be in front and lead but will ride anywhere in a group, will ride out alone, does not bite or kick horses or humans and just wants to get along with everyone.

Drifter is a no nonsense ride. He does what he is asked and has no quit to him. He has a lot of speed and a big stride, but is totally controllable and will go whatever speed and gait you ask him for. Besides being very cowy and ranchy, he is a great prospect for speed events including barrel racing and mounted shooting. He is a perfect mix of cow and run, one of those great all around horses that can do anything once he is shown what you want him to do.

He hauls great, stands tied, loads and unloads with ease in any size trailer, is good to bathe and stands good for the farrier. He neck reins, leg yields, stops, backs, takes both leads, side passes to open gates. He is traffic safe, rides bareback in a halter, ponies other horses, and is respectful on the ground and in the saddle.

Drifter is one of those geldings that is hard to find. He is the total package with a great mind, good size, perfect age and that gorgeous roan color.
