Billy Cook Hard Seat Wade Roping Saddle #2189. Brand: Billy Cook (Sulphur, OK). Tree Size: Quarter Horse Bars. Rigging: Dropped Flat Plate 7/8 position. Tree: Cliff Wade Rawhide Covered Quarter Horse Bars Gullet Width: 8.

The tree is rock solid, sound as can be. The previous owners really took care of this saddle. The saddle features include a butterfly skirt and dropped rigging for close contact and increased flexibility. The dropped in-skirt flat plate rigging keeps the bulk out from under the riders leg. Hard seat and fenders allow for quick mounts and dismounts. Saddle includes leather long strings, and loads more detail with basket weave tooling than what you typically see on a working type saddle.
