Description:
1982 Ammerman BFI trophy saddle. Clay O’Brien Cooper won this saddle heeling at the 1982 BFI ("Bob Feist Invitational"). His autograph can still be seen on the right swell of the saddle, although vaguely. He apparently donated the saddle to a charity auction at some point after winning it. Saddle comes with both front and back cinch and is ready to use. Stirrup leathers were replaced within the past two years. See enclosed photo of Clay O. Cooper and Bret Beach standing with their trophies in 1982. It appears the lettering was black at one point which obviously has worn off over time. You can see that the seat measures 16.5 inches to the stitching but it really sits like a 14.5 inch seat since the cantle has a long roll to it.
