Description:
Twix is a flashy 11 year old buckskin gelding with a ton of shape and dapples all over his body. He has seen thousands of miles on the ranch and in the feed yard, and is extremely athletic with a very good work ethic. Twix is GRADE, 15 hh and nicely built with a big hip, plenty of bone and a pretty head with a kind eye. He has been a using horse his entire life, used in the feedyard and on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, including roping and gathering cattle in the pasture, sorting pairs, and tagging and doctoring calves. Twix knows what it means to put in a hard days work, and will go all day long if you need him to with no quit in him. He is strong to the horn and good on the end of a rope. Twix is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and isn’t spooky. He will go up, over or through anything you point him at, and is very surefooted. He is an excellent ranch horse but also quiet enough to make a nice trail horse. He would do best in a home where he will have a job and get used, and has the athletic ability to make a performance horse as well. Twix has an excellent handle and stop, is good on both leads, and will work a gate. He rides quietly on a loose rein with plenty of speed when you need it. He can be ridden by himself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. Twix has been ridden down the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it. He is not suitable for children or beginner riders, he has too big of a motor and is too quick and athletic. $5000 He has good ground manners, stands quietly tied, and is easy to load, and haul and shoe.
