Big Country is a 15.2 hand, 1250#, 9 year old Brown ranch gelding bred by the legendary 6666 and carries their brands. This is a very special horse with tons of quality training that don’t come for sale very often. Before we purchased him Country started his training in the Road To The Horse program. He was one of the wild cards, a very good trainer chose him to take home, and spent a year training him to be shown the following year. He liked this horse so much he purchased him after he showed him and Country stayed in his program for the next 5 years as a ranch horse, day working, showing, and helping break colts. This last year Country went to a good friend of ours and he ranched on him and also competed successfully in many ranch rodeo’s on him. Big Country is as broke as you’ll find a ranch horse, very handy, and will ride around like a little cow horse in a big package. Lopes a purdy circle, flying lead changes, big stop, and fancy turnaround. Will watch a cow and rope anything anywhere, ground tie or work a rope to tie one down.Tons of speed when asked with lots of rate on cattle. Started heading and would make a top notch one if you wished.Big smooth ground covering walk and trot. He has his RHAA Competitive license paid and is Ranching Heritage eligible. Ranch all week, go show or rope on the weekend, this one will be hard to beat. They don’t come available like this very often.
